Let's see if I can remember the celebrities who visited my community college.

Danny Glover

Jesse Jackson

John Madden - as a student, I don't know if he visited after he was famous

That's about it. Of course they were all before I enrolled.

We had George Takei and Walter Konig (Sulu and Chekov) visit my college in 1989. They did a two man play about Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn. Since I was in the theatre department, I got a chance to work on the show and got their autographs. Other than meeting Bibi Bich, (Carol Marcas) and Dorthy (DC) Fontana (Star Trek episode writer) at two conventions, that's the closest I've ever been to Star Trek greatness. ;)

Zaphod,

"I purr, therefore I am."

I wonder if that has anything to do with it... ;)

hmm, all I can think of is some girl band. It was a few years ago (2-3) and my school paid a good deal of money to get them to come. They were okay, but apparently not good enough since none of us remember the name of the band.

oh, and we've had Vets and Holocaust survivors.

one more. A few of the teachers (2-3) were in bands. One was a military band and one was shown on a late night show.

Ok this may be hard to understand....My sister's best friend's DAD...is a Bookie for the Horse Races here in Lexington...two of his clients are....Woody Harrelson (non-star trek related) And....DUN DUN DUUUUU.....William Shatner....And at a 4th of July party 3 years ago I got the chance to meet both of them.

we should have a "if you could meet any Star Trek actor, who would it be?"

EDIT: Nah, most of us would just say "Ashley Judd"

Will Farrell and Dustin Hoffman are shooting some movie at my college right now. I don't really understand why they'd choose my campus, though. I'd rather have a Star Trek actor here anyday though. Patrick Stewart, that's hands down the one I'd want to meet.

I'd have to agree with Kestra; I want to meet Patrick Stewart. ;)

I've met Robert Picardo before. ;) That was fun.

The first Star Trek actor I ever met was John Delancie. I was standing at the urinal in the hotel where a convention in which he was booked as a guest star was being held, and he walked in and used the one next to me. (true story)

I didn't offer to shake hands...

Let's see, I met Dominic Keating, Gates McFaden, one of the B&B twins, Majel Barrett, and a handful of extras from TOS. I was also in a chat room with Warp 11 which is a Star Trek punk band from Sacramento, and a couple times with Eddie Paskey who played Lt. Leslie (a redshirt, although sometimes he wore yellow and blue) from TOS.

My sister met Patrick Stewart a number of years ago. She was working at a coffee shop and he came in and ordered something got a paper and sat down to read it. From what she said she was cleaning up a table next to him and bumped his table knocking over his coffe onto the paper and his lap. She said he was really nice about it and she "said" she felt bad. She knows I like trek and I think she was playing some kind of sick twisted mind game with me. Either way I still bug her about it from time to time.

That's nothing. There is also a band called StoVoKor that plays hard metal. They dress like Klingons and everything.
