Tour de Force

Llairhi Ori’Na N’Kedre

hru'Llairhi to Avalon Station

SD 0502.26

>Begin<

N’Kedre sat perched in the command chair of the Mextron, musing to herself. They had defeated the Dominion, or as the case may be, the Hundred, yet again. The strength of the Rihannsu Galae was beginning to show.

From their stationary postion, a few hundred meters from the Excalibur, she could see that the Klingon vessel of K’vorlag was heavily damaged.

As she sat drinking a cup of tea, her train of thought was interrupted.

“Llairhi,” a female voice said, “Au fought mehnka today.”

N’Kedre turned to see who it was that was addressing her. “Ennarain t’Llaehir,” N’Kedre said rising from her seated position to allow the mistress of the Mextron to take her station. “Ie, it was…how would the lloann’na say…a team effort.”

t’Llaehir could only smirk. “I suppose so,” she said positioning her self in the plush Oira chair. “For an Llairhi au knowledge of battle is impressive.”

“I grew up rhae a warbird,” N’Kedre said with a sweeping gesture of her robes. “I do hope though that I did na scratch au paint.”

“Na, lhhei, au did na,” t’Llaehir said picking up an ISD. “In fact the only damage done rhae the Mextron has already be repaired. The Daise'Paectum'Saehne reports that we are ready to return to Avalon at any time.”

“Should that be au wish,” t’Llaehir added quickly.

“Na just yet,” she said smiling wickedly. “I believe the Klling’hannsu could use some help repairing their broken garbage scowl, perhaps au should contact them and ask them if they…require au assistance.”

While N’Kedre did na personally think so ill of the Klling’hannsu, and personally found them be an engaging and passionate—if not rather barbaric—people, but to say so openly was na the eihwai of ideas.

t’Llaehir smirked. “Mehnka, I think that is exactly what I shall do, hann’yyo for the suggestion, “Llairhi.”

N’Kedre nodded her head once. “I think I shall retire now to my quarters, jolan tru.”

t’Llaehir nodded her approval and acknowledgement. “Before au go lhhei, we received a transmission that au should aware of.”

N’Kedre arched her brow in archetypical fashion.

“It seems one of our vessels as gone missing somewhere beyond the New Bajor sector. Khre’Riov tr’Shaelon has dispatched a battalion to look for them, and the Lloann’na’Galae is also keeping an eye out for them.”

“I am assuming that we have lost a capital vessel if we asked the Lloann’na’Galae for help?”

“Na.”

At that both eyebrows arched, and N’Kedre folded her arms disapprovingly. “Then why such the g’Oose chase?”

t’Llaehir sighed her disapproval as well. “Apparently io of the vessels crew, a Diserhn’Afew’Saehne, is the eri'hfirh (heir to the house) of an influential Deihu of ch’Rihan.

Her heart skipped several beats before it returned to its normal pace. Her own son, Issaha, was a Diserhn’Afew’Saehne, and while he was na the eri'hfirh of the House, she knew very well how gossip started. But reason quickly took hold, Issaha was aboard a flag-vessel of the Rihannsu Saeiher Nneikha, with his ira’dianvm, Destorie.

After a few long moments she opened her mouth. “The Deihu, what is his name?”

t’Llaehir quickly realized the peeked look on N’Kedre’s face. Her sons are both Galae and her bondmate is a Deihu, a powerful io at that.

“Deihu tr’Mhaeir,” t’Llaehir said quickly.

N’Kedre sighed in relief. “Hann’yyo for the information,” N’Kedre said exiting the Oira.

As she rode down the lift her thoughts trailed off. A few hours ago, the strength of the Rihannsu had been shown to the entire quadrant. The old proverb was reverberating in her mind. Never show your true strength, for if knowledge is power; then to be unknown is to be unconquerable.
