Mountain Dew is a product of Pepsi. Dr. Pepper is not. It is made by Dr. Pepper/7Up. However, Dr. Pepper products are bottled by Pepsi.

Heh...not anymore... :) Cadbury-Schweppes bottles it :)

I just went to the Dr Pepper website. They are owned by Cadbury-Schweppes, which would explain why they bottle the Dr Pepper products.

Yep. The only reason I knew that was because my family was in the grocery business for like 25 years...heh.

That would do it.

For anyone who is wondering, here are the product brands of the three largest soda/beverage companies.

Coca-Cola

Pepsi (list includes all brands of PepsiCo)

Cadbury-Schweppes (Dr Pepper/Seven-Up)

Ok so i work at a gas station and there we sell Dr. Pepper under the PepsiCo name. we order through them and everything. I looked on the bottle to see if it said the manufacturer, and all it said was.

"Manufactured by Independent bottlers under the authority of PepsiCo, Inc"

Does this mean that it is like a sub Co. of PepsiCo?

7UP and the other cheap sodas are ordered through a diferent Co. then the Dr.Pepper is?

It isn't. Dr Pepper/Seven-Up is owned by Cadbury-Schweppes. I believe that they contracted Pepsi to bottle and market the product.

Im waiting for them to open one in my driveway.

My apartment building is surrounded on all 4 sides by coffee places. It's true. In all 4 directions there is a coffee place within 100 yards.

Ahh, life is good. :P
