Who is actually going to apply for the new sim?

I might, if they have a position that interests me. Always wanted to play a Starfleet Marine since I was in the Army in real life, and the fact they have a Colonial as an XO indicates they may have them.

Only problem is I'm in a group that meets one Wednesday night a month. I'm currently President of this group so I kinda need to be there.

I'd apply for that special job that they're sending out now but I can't do it right now. If it was only later in the year I'd be sending in my details like THAT!

I will, seeing as Arc always starts late, the timing works out very well, and i'm loving the plot. judging by the numbers in this poll, they shouldn't have a problem filling the crew. But i think its cool

As interesting as the new Agincourt sim looks like, chances are, I probably won't. I'm already on five sims here on STSF, and I don't think I have the time for any more. :P Never know though... if it looks interesting enough, then maybe. But again, it's highly unlikely.

Sounds interesting, I'm not sure if I have the time, so the practical side of me is leaning toward 'no', but I might after I think about it. As I said before, I can get Tovan to clone me :P

I've thought about it. I haven't really decided yet. Given homework and other stuff, I probably won't, but there's a chance I might.

One word - "Gah!!"

As a former History peep, I find all of the Historical "stuff" interesting regarding the USS Agincourt, add to the fact that the floating rumor may or may not include starFleet Marines further adds to my interest.

Unfortunately, I JUST recently applied for a second advanced sim, before the big announcement - I don't think I could handle 3 sims rite now.

Timing is everything. :P

Depends on what the sim is about...they haven't given any information except a picture that its a Prometheus class. I'm a little disappointed about that, since STSF is already 'top heavy' with big and powerful ship sims.

I'm sure the sim will be great, though. I personally have never cared for "Starfleet Marines", which don't exist in canon, so if its a marine-based sim I would not consider it. I would have definately been curious if it had been a sim in an era STSF doesnt have already...of course this is all conjecture since they really havent announced the sim yet :P

Can't you change your mind? I'm sure if you e-mail Fred and tell him you want on the Agincourt instead of that other sim you apllied to, he'll accomadate your request. That is, if you really, really want to join Agincourt rather than that other sim.. Up to you really. :D

Really?

We have a Connie that would last about 10 minutes in a battle, an NX-Class that doesn't even have shields, and a Tugboat :P

As for myself, I am already on to many ships...so likely not.

Considering the design of the ship, I've always thought that serving aboard a Prometheus class vessel would be too dangerous. Can anyone point me to or post some nice pictures of the ship when it's in the mutlivector assault mode completely separated?

I REALLY want to apply for this ship...of course, that's if I ever graduate... :D (Which I hope I do, after more than 20 SIMs)

But yeah, it looks awesome. I want in! :P :P

He told me he "lost" my clone...... :D although he could just be cloning after the clones and creating an army.

Enterprise NX-01 has a Marine detachment, no? And as much as some people may not want to admit it, it is canon.

Haha that's where you were wrong, they were "MACOS" not Marines.

Ah, my mistake.  Although they seem similar enough, and apparently there were some marines on the other Trek series:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starfleet_marines

MACO: stands for Military Assault Command Operations.

It is possible the Macos are Marines.

And I remember Marines in a DS9 episode - Sisko's son Jake met one planetside.

I am planning on applying for the Agincort. :P

They just wore a differant uniform they were never formally introduced canonly that they were in fact Marines.
