Yesterday, I got my Return of the King - Extended Edition/Special Edition/Bladder Buster DVD (hey it's almost 4 hours long now!) Tonight I will immerse myself in Middle Earth and have fun going, "hey, I don't remember seeing that!"

Can't Wait!

Oh well.. at least this time, you can pause the DVD incase Nature ever calls during the good parts. Hated when that happened in the theatre when I couldn't pause the movie at my convenience. ;)

Worse thing ever.....

So anyway, I went to the first showing of LOTR RTK and we had to wait for like 5 hours. Well, I had busy myself, so I was drinking a mountain dew and......just like all the commercials, I got a homeless banjo player to play to my mountain dew. Well, by the time we got into the theatre, I had to visit the little general's room, so I did and then thirty minutes later....I had to again. Well, it ended up that I was diagnosed with uncontrolable bladder syndrome, just from drinking mountain dew because the ingrediants in it sometimes cause it.

So.....I had to miss the entire showing and spend the next weeks getting all sorts of crazy tests.

....and that's my story....

Well I did use the restroom during Gangs of New York, but that was ONE LONG MOVIE!!!

A funny story about leaving during a movie, when I went with my dad to go see Nemesis his work paged him right around the time the E rammed the Scimitar. He missed the ending, and to this day he doesn't know what happened to Data - and being the vindictive son I am I sure ain't going to tell him. ;)

I of course got mine as soon as humanely possible. Who knows how many times I've watched it already, but the problem was was that I kept falling asleep while watching only 3/4 of the movie, since I'd watch it in the evening, and then miss the ending (It was always around the time that the Mouth of Sauron would come out at the Black Gate too).

But, the thing is, and this is where I get to shed something new with everyone, is that I recently (Okay, like 4 months ago now. lol) got a job a comic book store nearby my house (Great job, BTW, absolutely love it. It's a geeks paradise).

So, for the last week it's been LOTR week, in which I've been playing the regular edition of FOTR, and the Extended Editions of TTT and ROTK in the store for all the customers to see; so as you can tell I've watched it several times at work now, and I take it home with me every night to watch at home. lol.

That's right, I love my Lord of the Rings, and the EE of ROTK rocks. I don't think I'm ever gonna get tired of it. :D

((And if I hear a peep out of N'Dak about anything I just said... He knows the fate he'll suffer. :P ))

Wait I'm confused...the RTK has been extended? It's a longer movie now?

yup, which is more reason not to watch it. :P

I liked ROTK but I do not agree with extending it. I already fell asleep watching it in the theatres( only for 3 minutes) I don't want to sit threw more of it.

Yeah but now i own the shorter version DVD :P And I have to buy a new one now? I hate it when companies pull stunts like this!

Anyway...yes the RTK was long and just watching it alone at the end I feel "geez when is this thing going to be over"...but if you watch all 3 movies in succession (have lots of popcorn ready) you really feel like the ending brings closure to all the characters that you need.

Got it for X-Mas and watched the movie that night. It was awesome! Glad I knew an extended version was coming out, it explained a few things for those who haven't tackled the books yet (like...what happened to Gandalf's staff?). Now I must tackle some of the appendices!
