Anyone else out there playing "WOW"??

Let me know if you're out there. If you're Horde....that's cool.

If you're Alliance, let me know where you are...and I'll bring some of

my friends to meet you!! ::snickers::

Ive been looking into getting a MMORPG game. Never tried one before, thinking of it.

Galaxies has been mentioned, or City of Heroes, but been told, hands down, WoW is THE way to go. Read a few game articles on it, looks good.

Happy Hording y'all ;)

Nope, I don't play. I used to play DAoC, but cancelled about six months ago. The next MMORPG I'm waiting for is Imperator, made by Mythic. Until then, simming is my roleplaying outlet. ;)

I'm still old-school. ;)

I enjoy Everquest (not Everquest II, the first one) in what little free time that I have. My level 70 cleric is a great stress reliever.

He probably played the old Battlenet, which was so-so, this just came out 2 weeks ago, and has set records for the fastest and largest selling PC game in history. Between Halo, WOW and STSF, my family may never see me again.

YOu can find more information here Jenna: Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft.

Watch the cinematic trailer, game play is close but not exact as these graphics. WOW Trailer

And just to look at the basics for races and classes, you can go here.

WoW basics

If anyone does play, and is a Horde member, send IC mail to BluRox.

Long live the Horde.

I would like to ask some of the WoW players out there:

I broke into on line gaming with Elite Force, and I really enjoy First Person Shooters. Is WoW a good game for a "newb" to MMORPG to try> do y'all recommend it for a beginner looking to break into a multiplayer RPG?

i want to resurect this post because after watching some friends play it at our local lan/ interent gaming place (planet marsto though you plrooy havent heard about it) im getting really interested in it.

2 questions

1) how much does it cost

2) how long would i have to play to catch up with everyone?

It will be $15 per month after your first month (at least that's what I got with the collector's set, a free month). As for catching up, there are new players everyday, and people here that create new characters so they can try other races or professions. It's all in how much time you can/want to put into it.

Personally, I spend too much of my free time there now...lol.

I know this is a really old thread but I couldn't resist. My boyfriend has WoW and while I'm usually content to watch him play video games, I had to try this one. It's so addicting! I made a human mage and made it up to level 12 before I realized it was his game and I was taking over. I've never played a game like that before, so I definitely think it's good for a beginner. You just have to read up on some of the stuff first and not try to advance too fast. I want to get it, but I don't think my computer could handle it!

And how cute is it that you can have a Panda as a pet with the collector's edition?

What Server are you playing on? PVP, normal or one of the Role Play servers?

I'm over on Argent Dawn RP server. Horde side, First Sergeant Blurox of the Twisted Hand of Fate. Level 60 Hunter. If you're horde, I'll show you a few secrets. If you're alliance..do me a favor and flag, I can use another kill on my log.

^_^

Pets, I use a level 60 Frostsaber cat and for a small pet, I have the collector set Diablo demon.

I'll have to check it out.

I used to play Diablo II online a lot back when I still knew where the disc was. ::sniff:: I wish I could find it. I miss shooting things with my bow.

BluRox-

I have a paladin on Blackhand, and a mage on Shadow Council, an RP server. Unfortunately it's not my game and I started school again so I won't be playing for awhile. And, sadly, I'm Alliance. ::hangs head in shame::

I made an undead Rogue that looks awesome but I haven't gotten to play her. My boyfriend's thinking about building me a computer, so maybe ....

Anyway it's a good thing I have to stop because I was getting obsessed. I went on a rampage after the Defias and their linen. I needed to be cut off. This way I have time for STSF!

Vatric- I've seen info on the Star Trek one coming out. I was totally new to all of this like a month ago, so I wasn't sure if it was analagous to WoW. If it is, then I'm in for some serious trouble.

The Trek one sadly, is being based on the Galaxies game, which is abysmal.

Too bad they didn't take a look at Blizzards game first. There's a reason it's #1 in the market.
