First Officer's Log

"My team has arrived on the surface of Khitomer aboard Shuttle Pod 2. One of our objectives down here is to find suitable transport destinations for the surplus wildlife aboard the ship. Of course, our primary objective remains one of exploration.

"So far, Khitomer is a fair bit more pleasant than Acamar. With no need for cover, we're not fumbling around in the dark, for one thing. We've touched down in another wooded area, but the greenery is more tropical, the air is warmer, and there's the feel and scent of a nice ocean breeze. Decent place for a resort, I'd imagine, if this planet weren't the stellar equivalent of an outback.

"I must say, having stepped onto two Minshara class planets in a row, I'm rather longing for the sort of planet that would feed lesser men's nightmares... fissures and volcanos, acid vapors, terrible wind force, massive electric storms... if anything, an opportunity to test out the environmental suits. I don't know, after visiting these Earth-like worlds, maybe I'm just homesick for good ol' Mars.

"Anyway, our team is preparing for a look around. We'll want to check out the source of that breeze, since there are few marine lifeforms to be transported down here. Even with our resenquencers back up, the kitchen staff has expressed a desire for more exotic foodstuffs, so we'll be on the lookout for anything edible.
