Ken Jennings lost Jeopardy tonight, ending his $2.5ish+ million, 75ish game win streak. The answer was, "Most of this firm's 70,000 seasonal white-collar employees only work four months per year." He responded with "FedEx". The correct answer was "H&R Block". Wow.

grr i hate how it was all over the news, they should have ken be the host or make a new game shoaw called "Beat Ken"

Actually, I heard about it before the show aired. Apparently, an audio clip was leaked on the internet.

Yeah, the story was on Yahoo, bout an hour before the Jeopardy episode aired. Had to happen though, Kenny was bound to lose come time though. Still, $2.5 million's alot of money.

I'm sure it was deliberate. More people would tune in to see a big winner finally loose than to see someone who won multiple times win again.

Wow. So the winning streak finally ended for Ken Jennings. He was on Jeopardy for a while. Well, hope he enjoys his winnings, he earned it.

 

My thing though is this: did he really miss that question...or did the producer peeps behind Jeopardy finally say "step down/u need to step down, and you'll get a bonus, etc." ????

 

I mean, For someone that "trivia minded", and he misses on a H & R block question??? and not somthing like "what was the name of Winston Churchills half sisters daughters second husband." :lol:

He didn't think of a tax company. He does his own taxes so it never occured to him. He said that he was standing there during final Jeopardy, listening to his opponent's pen, thinking, "Oh my God. She knows and I don't."
