On the BattleWren

Daise’Enarrain Khevio tr’Shaleon

CO | RES Storm Falcon, 4th Battalion of the 6th fleet

SD 0411.24

>Begin<

Khevio positioned himself in the Command Chair of the scout vessel BattleWren as the final preparations for the joint mission between his crews and those of the Lloann’na were made.

He was hesitant to allow the Lloann’na aboard his vessel, let alone give them access to parts of the ship, but his orders had been handed down. And while usually the diplomats and the Dehu did na have power over the Galae (Military), N’Kedre spoke with the “voice of the Fvillah (Preator),” and Khevio enjoyed life a little to much to openly question her orders.

He looked about the smallish Oira (Bridge) of the BattleWren, noting that all of the preparations had been made. “Helm, stand by to launch vessel, Operations system status check.”

The Operations officer nodded quickly and looked to his consol. “All stations report mission ready, rehhkai (sir).”

Khevio nodded slowly, then tapped the communications panel on the command chair. “BattleWren to Oira of the StormFalcon.”

A voice on the other ended quickly responded. “StormFalcon here, au are clear to lauch. Lloann’na crew will beam to aur vessel once au have signaled au are ready for them. May the Elements Guide au. Storm Falcon Khoi.”

Again, Khevio merely nodded. “Helm, Clear all moorings, thrusters ahead full. Once au have cleared the bay doors, take up coordinates Mark 9.43. Rianov (Tactical) Engage Cloak, Battle Alert.”

The smallish, green scout vessel shimmered into the stealth of the latest phase cloaking technology, and exited undetected into the void of open space, taking up position a few hundred meters from the hull of the Excalibur.

Khevio eyed the Excalibur for a few moments, taking in the ship. “Operations, open a channel…”

Now, Khevio sat eyeing another ship, but this time it was a Dominion Battlecrusier. He prayed silently to the Elements that Day was on board, and that more importantly, they had na yet been seen, for if they had—he was yy’a—and despite what N’Kedre had said to him earlier, he was na yet willing to die for any lloann’na.
