Meh, I think that Enterprise is starting to clean up its act, finally. I didn't like the third season, but after these episodes I think it deserves a fifth . . . maybe a sixth . . . ;)

It happened in 1969 when the original series was cancelled. Afterwards there was a huge letterwriting campain to bring the show back. You'd think the networks would've learned there lesson by now.

And yet, if you didn't have profit, there'd be no reason for any company to be in business. The pursuit of profit actually causes prgramming to be better than it would otherwise...unless you think all stations should be like PBS. :)

And then you have the pesky little problem of paying peoples salaries..all those Traffic directors and Master control personnel, continuity guys, programming directors, etc....its like I said in a different thread..you've got awesome shows..and I think Enterprise has come a long way...but ...I think it was about Farscape..its not about the writing, or production, or how many gratuitous sex shots you can fit in an hour...ultimately, it comes down to what are advertisers willing to buy time in.

Is that right?? Is that fair?? I have no idea...but, it is what capitalism is all about..

So....not only does enterprise have to establish more of a fan base..its has to be perceived as marketable...

 

I hope it gets to at least 6 seasons...that should be ample time to write the next trek movie which should be the Rihan Wars... ;)
