"For Once, More Answers Than Questions" - Part III

Lieutenant Junior Grade Garnoopy

Personal Log Stardate 50302.23

“For Once, More Answers Than Questions” – Part III of III

“If you’ll excuse me, I must head out and deliver this report.” Garnoopy said to Precip, already heading out of the holodeck.

Precip smiled, and stepped out of Garnoopy’s way.

Garnoopy quickly headed to the bridge. Glancing around, he noted that the Captain was talking to an Ensign; he quickly headed over and stood to the side, anxious to deliver the report.

A moment later, the Ensign departed, heading off to the turbolift.

“Lieutenant” the Captain inquired.

Handing the PADD to the Captain, Garnoopy began speaking, “This PADD contains the information on what went wrong with the Griffin cloak.”

The PADD was looked through, and then Captain Sovak spoke up, “I see, and this molecule that cased the problem, have you devised a way to screen against it?”

Garnoopy nodded quickly, “Yes sir, we’ve always been able to scan it. However, we had no idea that it could do this.”

Sovak raised an eyebrow, “Indeed. It seems that experience is still a good teacher.” Sovak handed the PADD back to Garnoopy, “Very well. Ensure that the information is included in all protocol for standard scans.”

Garnoopy nodded, and was about to reply, when Dr. Kraden placed a weapon of some sort in his hands before he could say anything.

“Mr. Garnoopy, this weapon could be the one that attacked Dr. Faldorn and that is killing him. I need you to go to sickbay a run a resonance analysis and see if it is the one that matches the energy resonance that was found In Faldorn's brain scan,” the Doctor quickly piped out.

Turning to face Dr. Kraden, Garnoopy spoke up, “Understood, I can do that quickly right here. And then should I report the findings to you Dr. Kraden?”

Kraden nodded, and then whisked off to the ready room before Garnoopy could have said anything more.

Wondering where Dr. Kraden got his manners, Garnoopy headed over to the engineering panel and began the scan. A few moments later, the results popped up. Garnoopy contacted the Dr. and was informed that it was not the weapon that was needed, and that Garnoopy now needed to head to security to meet Colonel Eason so they could scan the other weapons that they had collected from the planet.

Garnoopy headed down to sickbay, and with Eason’s help, immediately began the scanning procedure. It would only be a few moments before they knew whether they had the answer, but Garnoopy knew, those few minutes in the medical world could mean the difference between life and death, and he sincerely hoped it was life.
