By now you've seen it...

A fiery Red Sox team came back, in what has been called the greatest of all time, from 0-3 versus the New York Yankees to beat the Yankees four games to three.

An overachieving Cardinals team squeaked by Roger Clemens and the Houston Astros in game seven to claim the NLCS crown.

The question remains...

WHO WILL WIN?

Gotta go for the cards in seven.. I'm sure ol' Bambino'll get his revenge for the Yankes' loss. :D

Despite the fact the Red Sox swept my Angels; The sure joy in seeing the Yankees humiliated like that last night ...makes me want the Sox to win it all.

As a St. Louis native (and sitting in St. Louis at the moment I type this), I'm going for the Red Birds all the way.

I see the game coming down to the 7th also and it being a hell of a game. It's exactly how I wanted it.... St. Louis Cardinals v Boston Red Socks. It's going to be great! :D

Never been a baseball fan. I mean a game where the idea is to run home... well, it doesn't even sound like a sport!

Over achieving Cardnials? Grom they had the best record in the NL!

And four words for you: Curse of the Bambino.

Cards sweep in four.

Cowards!!

The only baseball game I liked was the DSNiners versus the Logicans, plus for the most part I enjoy playing sports more than watching them.

But I did enjoy seeing the Yankees lose. :D

Boston Red Sox. I don't care how long it takes them to win, I want them to win! (After all, if one curse can be broken, I can't help but think the Cubs could have a chance in a few years. :D )

that reminds me of something

What's the second best baseball team in Chicago?

The White Sox.

What's the best baseball team in Chicago?

Who ever's playing the Cubs.

My liking of you just went down the drain. :D

Sadly, he's almost right!

But, what if the Cubs played the White Sox in some scrimage or something? :)

Pitching wins pennants...I'm not thrilled with the Cadinals pitching staff. Many of those guys are grossly overachieving, while the bullpen is more than just suspect (Izzy for 3 innings? Sheesh!).

I think Boston will dominate this series. My prediction is Boston in 5 games. St. Louis will win Game 3 at home.

Hey there,

Go Marlins. :P

Actually, I don't care who wins. I know most of my friends/relatives are simply happy the Yankies are not in it. Serves them right. Last year, our team has a payroll 1/3 their size...they lose. This year, that giant payroll can't even get them to the World Series.

As a fan who's recently been burned by MLB. I given the call to the Sox in 7. Since I figure any city that has baseball problems close to mine, deservers the championship.

I don't think anyone is threatning to move the Red Sox out of Boston. :P

As far as the Expos are concerned, I think it's a good move from both an economic and a baseball standpoint. If Montreal fans cared about their team and went to the games, then they'd still be there.

So, if the size of the payroll has proven so ineffective, why complain about it? :P

::nods at Fred:: Same with my Twins. For the ammount of money the Yanks pay each year to get to the World Series, to have them be humiliated in those four games, just hillarious.

I hate that commercial for Visa, or what ever it is where Stienbek cant write anymore checks....I hate the Yanks....

But, think what they'd be like with the salary of the Marlins, or Twins...or what they'd be like with the salary of the Yanks?

::ponders::

Still sticking with Boston in 6.

But they were beaten by the Red Sox... a team with the 2nd highest payroll in baseball... by a wide margin. I just don't get how they're touted as the lovable underdog waging war against the Evil Empire. They're guilty of the same crimes. :P

If you'd call it crimes at that. The only crimes being commited are that the owners are trying to put together the best team. It's proven ineffective in the postseason many times... so, again, why complain when they win and rejoice when they lose? ;)
