Master's of Deception

Daise’Enarrain Khevio tr’Shaleon

CO | RES Storm Falcon, 4th Battalion of the 6th fleet

SD 0410.08

>Begin<

The four massive warbirds circled the USS Excalibur, silently awaiting. All four of the vessels under the command of N’Kedre/Khevio, had been to the Gamma Quadrant before. They had all met Dominion in battle more than once, and were ready should the Founder’s decided to stir open the wounds of last war.

Khevio sat in his command chair, yes his chair. N’Kedre had retreated to her quarters to rest, leaving Khevio in command, as should have been in the first place, he thought. But he wouldn’t dare challenge an order direct from the Fvillah, to do so was career if not real suicide.

He sat on the Oira, ISD in hand tapping a fleet wide notice to the 6th fleet to be on battle alert. The 6th fleet, was the Galae’s force in the Gamma Quadrent, and had been charged with assuring that the fertile new frontier was na left completely to the Lloann’na and the Kling’hanssu. It comprised some 12 Battalions, or Battle Groups as they were more commonly known, spread through out the Quadrant. But as was common in the Empire, only a few select commanders even knew exactly how many ships were in the Gamma Quadrant, least one of them be compromised. But Khevio was one of those select commanders, and he knew the true strength of the 6th fleet.

It was indeed a mighty force, and would be capable of responding with deadly force to any and all who would dare challenge the chosen. In the month since the last war, the Rihannsu Saeihr Nneikha had learned from it’s tactical mistakes. They had shown their hand all to eagerly and had been showed to be, venerable—weak—mortal.

That would na happen again, for they were na weak. For to long the Rihannsu Saeihr Nneikha had been overlooked, underestimated by the Galaxy. And judging from the report that N’Kedre had filed about the Vorta, they Dominion had made this tactical error. Never attempt to play the game of bluffing against those who have mastered the art of deception and espionage.

For knowledge is power, and power is to the chosen. If the Dominion wanted a war, the Rihannsu Saeihr Nneikha was ready for it, let the Lloann’na and the Kling’hannsu talk peace with the Dominion.

And that was the greatest deception of them all. They appeared to be showing their hand, that they were weak and desired peace, but that was not at all the motive for participating in this great affair. No, it was an excuse to increase their military presence in the Gamma Quadrant.

The Dominion was the greatest threat ever faced by the Empire. Greater than even the Lloann’na scum, and they did na intend to allow the festering cesspool called the Dominion to go unchecked.

Khevio grinned as he watched the Excalibur on the viewscreen, if this Admiral Day were dead, there would be war, and when the dust cleared, it would be the Rihannsu Saeihr Nneikha that came up, what was the Lloann’na phrase, “smelling like roses.”

Power to the Chosen.
