Waiting for the Next Move

Daise’Enarrain Khevio tr’Shaleon

CO | RES Storm Falcon, 4th Battalion of the 6th fleet

SD 0409.26

>Begin<

Khevio sat in the conference room of the RSE Storm Falcon, a massive hologlyph flickering before him. It was the battle field tactical display of the Avalon system.

The green dots that moved slowy around his own ship, were the three other warbirds under his command, the multiple red squares floating nearby were Klingon ships, blue triangles symbolized the Federation starships and the purple x’s showing the Jem’Hadar movements.

The rainbow display was up to the second, with sensor readings from the entire Romulan battalion feeding into it. Khevio stood for a few moments analayzing the read out. Ambassador N’Kedre had made it clear her intentions for this “project” to succeed, but Khevio had began to doubt the feasibility of that goal. He had been kept up to date, mostly by N’Kedre of the events going on at the Starbase, and it was all he could do to avoid saying “I told you so,” or what ever the lloann’na phrase was.

Just as he began to relax for a moment, suddenly a bright orange disc erupted from the station and onto the diagram. Instantly he reacted.

“Computer, Identify!”

A few second later, “Object identified as a organic life form, species—Shapeshifter.”

“Elements,” he said loudly, and between clinched teeth, he turned exiting onto the Oira. “Battle Alert.”

His voice echoed across the Oira, and almost instantly the crew reacted and the klaxons wailed as the mighty Warbird went to full battle stations, cloaking itself in mere seconds.

“Alert the fleet,” Khevio said, his composure regaining as he settled himself into the command chair in the center of the Oira. “Go to full battle readiness, and contact Ambassador N’Kedre.”

The officers on the Oira of the Storm Falcon were trained for just this situation, at the snap of a finger they were ready, as were the crew of the other three warbirds flanking the Storm Falcon.

With in seconds of the Founder’s entrance into space, the battalion of four warbirds cloaked and moved into a battle formation, just behind the Starbase. Normally they would have pursued the Founder and yy’a him with out mercy, but the Ambassador had informed them of Admiral Day’s abduction.

Khevio sat silently on the Oira of the Storm Falcon, his ships laying in wait for the next move, silently they watched and waited to make their next move; the stakes were running high now, the peace and security of the entire galaxy, the fate of billions would be decided.
