Why i like star trek... maybe cause my mom sat me infront of the tv when TOS was showing on tv when I was a little kid so she could clean the house. Plus the fact that hey some of that stuff could happen (i say some not all) :D And plus its almost like my music i like to watch a lot of shows... i still watch disney movies :) (cant be too old to be a kid... might help with future kids wanting to watch the same movie over and over again :D )

But basically just because mom sat me infront of the tv :P (seriously shes told me this)

When I was growing up there were too shows that were on at the same time, The Animated Series and My Little Pony. I didn't really care too much for Star Trek, but I'll be damned if I was going to let my sister watch My Little Pony without a fight! One thing led to another and here I am.

I started watching Trek when TOS was still airing. I've alway's been a sci fi fan from the time I was very young. I've always loved the adventure and the idea that we're not alone in the universe, that there are other civilization's out there for us to meet.

Yeah, of course I do.. Mainly for the action and the cool ships and phasers and stuff.. I'm a techno man, what can I say. :P The excellent plots and storylines also do help peak my interests too.

I enjoy the physics standpoint of it all. (That's also why I enjoy Stargate.) Star Trek has always been fairly sound in maintaining proper physics, and not doing too much of the insane. There are some instances where theories, etc., are stated wrong, but not a whole lot.

Oh yea - I like to see stuff blow up.

i like star trek mainly because its an almost believable show, set 200-300 years in the future, us "past" event for things that are going on in the show, great acting, and we dont know what the future is like so... why not?

Well I remember my first time watching the show. I was about 3 or 4, and my Grandma and Grandpa (God bless his soul) would always watch it. Well I went over there all the time and would watch the Next Generation with them. Ever since then I've been hooked on the show.

I remember being very young watching Star Trek TOS with my father. I loved the stories and ESPECIALLY Mr. Spock. I loved Leonards voice. Yum yum! I also enjoyed the doctors responses to over exaggerated demands on his abilities. Remember the comebacks? "Im a doctor, not a..." And they continued into Voyager. I love it!

BTW, who remembers some good "Im a doctor, not a ..." one liners?
