Considering the list I have...I don't get it. :(

I'm either an INTJ or INFJ depending on which tests you believe, the link you gave me was an INTJ-er. Fits in perfectly with my goal, which is to become a writer, have no social life, and sit at the computer all day. :(

Oh, and alphabetically ordering videotapes helps.

I don't put too much stock in personality tests like the Myers-Briggs because so much of it depends on the state of mind you are in at the time you take the test. You really need to take the test 4 or 5 times to get an accurate reading. However, I go back and forth between ESTJ and ISTJ. This particular time I scored an ISTJ but it could be because I'm a lot busier than normal and really need some "quiet time". I usually score as an ESTJ but the E is not very strong. I was a *MUCH* stronger E shortly after I left the US Army but that's because introverts just don't fair too well in that setting (at least in the enlisted ranks. I's are a lot more common among the officers because they aren't in front of the troops most of the time. They have NCOs for that.). There was one time, however, when I took the test at a management seminar and scored exactly on the divider between E and I. The instructor mandated that I pick one to continue with the exercise and I had to flip a coin.

Famous ISTJs:

Thomas (Christ's disciple)

U.S. Presidents:

* George Washington (A9 says he is an ESTJ)

* Andrew Johnson

* Benjamin Harrison

* Herbert Hoover

* Harry S. Truman (also an ESTJ)

* George H. W. Bush

Paul Coverdale (U.S. Senator, R-GA)

Jackie Joyner-Kersee (U.S. Olympic athlete)

Evander Holyfield, heavyweight boxing champion

Jack Webb (Joe Friday)

Fictional ISTJs:

Mr. Martin (hero of James Thurber's Sitting in the Catbird Seat)

Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh)

Fred Mertz (I Love Lucy)

Puddleglum, the marshwiggle (Chronicles of Narnia)

Cliff (Cheers)

Famous ESTJs:

Simon Peter (Christ's disciple)

John Heywood (c.1497-c.1580, collector of English colloquialisms)

U.S. Presidents:

* James Monroe

* Andrew Jackson

* William Henry "Tippecanoe" Harrison

* Franklin Pierce

* Grover Cleveland

* Harry S. Truman (also an ISTJ)

* Lyndon B. Johnson

* George W. Bush

Carrie Nation

Elliot Ness

John D. Rockefeller

Bette Davis

Robert A. Taft (U.S. senator, son of Pres. Wm. H. Taft)

Sam Walton, owner and founder of WalMart stores

Barbara Stanwyck

Rev. Billy Graham

Dale Bumpers (U.S. Senator, D-Arkansas)

Phil Fulmer, head football coach of the U. Tenn Vols

Pat Head Summit, head basketball coach of the Lady Vols

Robert Packwood (U.S. Senator)

Fictional:

Lucy (Charles Schultz's Peanuts character)

Mrs. Harbottle (Herriott, All Creatures Great and Small)

Mrs. Rachel Lynde (Anne of Green Gables)

The Mayor (The Music Man)

Oh, and alphabetically ordering videotapes helps.

Um... I've done that...

You are clearly an INTP, lol.

Let's see, so far (and the link above is a very cheesy version of the Myers-Briggs, but all I could find for free online. Some more somewhat watered down descriptions are at http://www.typelogic.com/intp.html)...

A9 and Dumbass should be my cohorts

Seiben my suitemate

Kroells my counterpart

Gromvik and Nem my contrast, lol.

Bah, I hate Myers-Briggs, I've never pulled the same result two times in a row. Let's see... Today I'm an INTP. Last time I took one of these -- April, I think it was -- I was an ESTJ. ::sigh:: I flip-flop between E and I at the drop of a hat, I'm usually more N than S, and I'm T when I'm calm and F when I'm stressed. I tend to turn up P in online or other 'for fun' tests, and J in formal ones for school or whatnot.

What's that you say? Multiple personalities? Me?? Just because my H.S. Drama teacher used to joke that our group of 6 could cast Shakespearean tragedies with all the personalities running around...

Looks like I'm another INTJ (according to this one, anyway), like Tachyon.

Interestingly, that means I share personality traits with Hannibal Lecter and Professor Moriarty, so, watch out :-)

However...taken elsewhere I am:

You are a Mastermind!

(Submissive Introverted Abstract Thinker)

You are a MASTERMIND (SIAT). You can be silent and withdrawn, but behind your reserved exterior lies an active mind that allows you to analyze situations and come up with creative, unexpected solutions. Normal people call this scheming.

Anyway, your sense of style and originality are your strengths, and people will respect your judgment once they get to know you. If you learn to be a little more personable, you could be a great leader— you've definitely got the vision thing down. Just make sure all the plotting you do behind those eyes of yours is healthy.

Famous masterminds in television: Dr. Claw, The Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Montgomery Burns.

I've never put much stock in personality test period, whether they are Myers-Briggs or not, but I consistently get an IN, and then either TP, TJ, FP, or FJ depending on the test. I took a bunch that were linked in the Google Directory. Meh, it's sort of the same thing with IQs, I don't like standardized tests that much . . . :(

LOL!!

That's okay, Hannibal and I share the same favorite work of music, lol. Oh well.

My famous people stink.

INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.

Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others (or be sorely tempted to) if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists.

INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to most anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves.

Blah blah blah...
