Do Borg's dream of assimilated sheep?

Personal log, stardate 0409.15:

I walked into Starfleet Medical to meet Angie. She wasn't finished so I sat and waited for her. They must've been working her over because it took a while. When she did walk out, I asked her how it went. She hugged me and said it went well. She then did something that shocked me, she made a joke. In the 4+ years I've known her, she's only made a few, most inadvertant. She looked up at me and said "resistance is futile", smiled really big and kissed me. I laughed myself silly. I'm glad her sense of humor is developing again. When we were leaving, she had another flashback. I hate seeing that, she get's so confused looking. But, I'm glad her memory is starting to return. As we walked to the restaurant, I filled her in on what went on at the debreifing. I told her we'd have to answer more question's and talk with someone about our promotions. Then we could leave and go to New Orleans. We got to Shelly's and sat down and ordered. She looked tired, we've been through quite a bit in the last few weeks and she hasen't been regenerating enough. She then did another thing that I've never seen before in the whole time I've known her, she yawned. A big tearieyed yawn. It shocked her too. She asked me what was wrong with her. I laughed and hugged her and told her. I told her she might try regenerating a few hours a night and actually sleeping for a few. She's going to have to use her regenerator for the rest of her life because of the nanoprobes and implants. But, the human part of her needs sleep. I'm so glad to see she's finally starting to embrace her humanity, she even sneezed. I got up and found a communication's booth and left a message for Admiral Wolfe asking to meet with him tomorrow with Angie to discuss our promotions, then returned to the table and started enjoying my meal and good company. More later.
