Coffee makes me sleepy

Tea makes me awake

I don't sleep

How long do you usually sleep?

Usually I wake up after 8 hours of sleep, even when I stay up at 3 AM. It's just the usual amount of time that I sleep, although sometimes I sleep longer--I remember staying up until 3 and then waking up at 2 PM . . .

:)

I like coffee

I like sleep

I like beer, which is why I'm drunk now! (wednesday night is actually the big night here in Hong Kong)

Oh and tea is much better than coffee.

Definitely. I love regular Tetley tea (strangely named Orange Pekoe) and although I prefer it weak, when I'm waiting for an STSF Academy to start up I tend to forget it's sitting downstairs . . .

Well gee, since my earliest class was normally at 11:00 to 12:00 throughout the last year I normally went to sleep late. But thanks to summer, I've found myself sleeping about 10 to 11 hours on average.

I mean hey, I'm not complaining, but I better get my biological clock back to eight hours, if not, I'm gonna be a grumpy guss. :)

YEah, it's been like that for me too this summer. I had the luxury of sleeping like 10-12 hours a day, stayng up till 2, or 3 in the morning (or 6:30 one night talking to Dak on AIM, waking up at 2:45PM :P ). Man.. school's in three weeks, and I gotta get used to sleeping 7-8 hours a day as well. Ahh well... ::blows the dust off of his alarm clock::

12-14 hours. Honest.

It makes up for about the 5 hours of sleep I get during the school year, and on weekends.

Hmm... about six hours a night Sat Night-Thurs Night... then Friday night it drops to four or five... I actually like five hours of sleep best.

Sometimes I get seven or eight hours on accident, and then I'm grumpy. Hmm...

And anything with caffeine keeps me up till four. :)

::sigh:: About nine hours. Anything less and I'm seriously dysfunctional. I have total envy of ones who can do with little sleep.

I was a full-time college student, president of two student clubs, and night manager of a 7-Eleven all at the same time. I know what it is like to have to pull an all-nighter, stay awake in the daytime, and grab 1 or 2 hours of sleep before heading into another all-nighter. Have you ever been so tired that you went to Starbucks for a 4-shot latte, went back to your room, set the drink down, turned on the computer, and then forgot you even went to Starbucks to get the drink? I did that a couple times my senior year. No lie.

Now I start to nod off at around midnight or so, get up at 8 AM, and it still isn't enough sleep. I only graduated 5 years ago. Where did so much stamina disappear to in such a short time?

I think you can do that for about four and a half years and then that's it. After that, your brain rebels and demands normalicy. (Or something close).

Although, a few years ago while I was in grad school, I was taking some really cool allergy medication... I slept about 4 hours a night, lived on coffee and snickers bars, lost 25 pounds and felt GREAT! lol. Too bad it stopped working for allergies and I had to find something else... without those great side effects. Oh well, it got me through most of grad school. :)

Sleep? What the heck is that :)

Seriousily I don't have a set sleep time but it ranges from a half hour to 12 hours depending on when I go to bed considering I wake up at the exact same time everyday.

Hmmmm, portrait of the sleep deprived. Because of my disability, I have severe muscle spasms so I sleep very little. I usually get about 2 to 4 hours at night and a catnap or two during the day. :)

Zaphod,

My sleep time changes. And as some people can attest to, you don't want to be around me when I am sleep deprived :)

::Dies laughing:: :)

I can completely attest to his comment. NDak sure is in rare form when sleep deprived, but so am I, so I shouldn't talk. :P
