The Manticore has been hijacked. On faked Priority One

orders into deep space, we found that Captain Sovak had

been "possessed" by an entity that had sabotaged the ship.

This "SophoTechnology" identified itself as S'aar and took over

the Captain on Mars in the Ganges Chasma. The ship left

charted space and has just reached the 4th planet in a 6-planet

system. A giant ship elevator/cradle has latched onto us and is

lowering us to the surface, so we can "be served" by these

machines.
