Battle Drill: Pt 2

After the initial shock of the attack on the Excalibur wore off Chris took stock of what was going on around him. Through some fluke he had been put in a command situation and this was one chance he was not going to let slip through his fingers. He turned around and faced the ensign at the tactical station.

 

"Ensign I want you to target a low yield phaser shot right off the docking pylon. Lets show them that we are awake over here."

 

"But sir, you want me to fire on the station?"

 

"Thats right ensign I want you to return there warning shot. It's obvious the Captain is testing us and our battle readiness and I for one do not intend to let him down." Chris sat down in the command chair and looked out on the viewscreen. "Helm I want you to be ready for evasive manevuers as soon as we fire. I think things are just about to get interesting."
