The Manticore has been hijacked. The ship received

mysterious and, it turned out, faked Priority One orders into

deep space. As we tried to alter course, a warning alerted the

Bridge that course correction would result in the destruction of

the ship. Captain Sovak has been "possessed" by an entity

that is responsible for this sabotage. This "SophoTechnology"

identifies itself as S'aar and took over the Captain on Mars in the

Ganges Chasma. The ship is completely controlled from within

Sovak and any attempt to subdue him will lead to the ship's

destruction, this is why Manticore has just left charted space

traveling at Warp 8.
