I'm new here

Hi,

I'm new here and wanted to say Hi, but I got a few questions

1) How big does a person's Avatar have to be?

2) How does a person post their character's bio, or can they?

3) Can a player change from one sim to another. IE from one starship to another, and not make a new character?

Well this RGP(Sim) sounds great to me.

1. Your avatar is only here on the message boards...  and there is no minimum size.  I have set the boards to have a MAXIMUM size, but if you go over it...  the board will just resize it to fit the highest allowed settings.

2. If you would like to post your character bio while you are still in the Academy, feel free to post it here on the STSF message boards in the Academy folder, and also on the STSF message boards on Star Trek.com (Role-Playing message board) found at:

http://www.startrek.com/community/boards.asp

Once you graduate Starfleet Academy, you will be invited to join one of our Advanced Sims.  Then you will be able to post your biography in that Sim's Bios message board.

3. If you would like to transfer from one STSF to another, that is possible.  You would just need to contact the CO of the Sim you would like to move to and work out the details with him/her.  Then you will goto the Personnel Manager and take care of the paperwork.  It's pretty simple ;)

We're glad you're interested in STSF!  If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask.  We're all here to help.

Hey, you might want to wait before you post your bio. You might make a bio as a person who would make a great Security Officer, but when you are assigned to a ship you get a medical officers position, so I would wait. ;)

Thanx Webmaster & ens_smith for your help. I'm really interested in STSF.

I've played a RGP still type before, but it's been along time. But I hope to catch so fast here, that an I like Star Trek alot. I've got another question, are all the sims set in the same time frame, like stng, ds9, voyager, or the org(kirk's & spock's time line). That an has any1 thought of a sims game set in the new Enterprice show time line? Well thanks again for the help ;)

If you check the sites for the ship it will help you. As far as I know, the Reaent is a little before TNG, and the USS Hood is TOS.

Any idea about the Sky harber sim?

I've been considering my options as time permits, and I think that i might just be able to attend the Raeant or Sky Harber Aegis sim, since its at 8:30 AM on Friday and saturday respectively. Would like a few more details on either or some more sources if possible :)

Anandraj, there aren't any openings on the Reaent, and you'll have to ask Fred about the timeline. I took the last one!

Smith :D

First of all, welcome aboard the Reaent as our newest (and last?) shipmate.

To my knowlege the Reaent takes place post-Dominion war.  However, the ship itself is an Ambassador Class Refit which means it was built pre-TNG but had it's systems gutted out and modernized so it functions similar to the Galaxy class.

Hope it helps.
