Personal Information:

 

Tovan never thought of himself as a purest of logicians in thinking and actions though he attempted to mend his thoughts about his emotions and conflicting experiences that he had experienced through his assignment aboard the Manticore. After his brother's death Tovan joined starfleet engineering and vowed to never make a mistake that would end up as tragic and illogical as his brother's shuttle accident.

 

For Tovan's first years aboard Manticore, he had been closed and cold with truth and logic, not making any mistakes and learning from mistakes that he let through. Solitary, he was during those times. The only person he would have considered a friend was his Chief, Cmdr. Garnoopy.

 

Later in his Tovan's starfleet career he realized the daunting and painful truth that he could never prevent everything that could be prevented. After the redesigned Phase Cloak system, first developed by Garnoopy eight months prior, Tovan thought everything was perfect, in fact, it had been one of his heaviest flaws in his life. Ensign Daniel Kroells suffered insanity after a phase cloaked probe was shot through him. All data, recorded by Tovan during the experiment and with help from the medical staff, the problem was determined but the source was never found.

 

After Ens. Kroells was removed from active duty, Tovan was faced with the truth that, mistakes were not the only thing that might influence life or death. As per Vulcan arrogance, Tovan did not bow down to it and continued to work with as little error as possible.

 

To the present, with improved knowledge and people skills, he had lost the cold exterior of memory, incorporated the experiences into himself and became what he is today. He had developed a medical condition of a degeneration in his left wrist due to exposure to high temperature and debris during the battle, in which had placed his chief and friend under intensive care.
