N’Dak was finally alone in Maenek, with the exception of the beta shift staff. While he appreciated the visitors that had came to see him, he preferred to be left alone.

He didn’t like people seeing him—venerable. Espically that little Erein tr’Vosh, he certainly did na trust that io as far as he could throw him, and at the moment that wasn’t very far.

Additionally, he wanted to be left alone so he could do some work. He had many thoughts on his mind since they had returned to ch’Rihan. And even more since he had came back onto the Talon.

He sighed to himself as one of the nurses came to check on him. He put the ISD he was working on down momentarily while she worked.

He was almost finished. A few minutes later when she had left he resumed his work.

Half an hour later, he was finally done. He tapped a button and sent what he had been working on to the Enarrain.

COMPREHENSIVE DHENO REORGINZATION

Overview:

Over the past few days and months it has come to my attention that Dheno aboard the TALON is na what it should be, and is lacking in several areas, most notably in the area’s of discipline and performance in securing the safety of the ship and crew. This is most troubling. However, the blame doesn’t rest on the Dishern’s solely, but also lays on myself as their Daise for na properly training and disciplining them.

That said, it is my proposal to reorganize the entire Dheno dept. Not just house cleaning either, it is apparent that full and complete new face needs to be put on Dheno. The reputation of our Dheno is one of laughter and bemusement by the rest of the crew, and I refuse to allow this to happen. The following is my proposal to change the Dheno into the most feared force in the galaxy.

Part I-Training

“Well trained, well equipped forces can often overwhelm larger but lesser trained forces, more often than conventional arithmetic would suggest.” -Daise’Khre’Riov tr’Santi, Survivalists’ Guide

In deed. A well trained and equipped force is truly formidable. That said, half of that is already in place; na crew in the Galae is better equipped that ours. However we lack the necessary training to be a truly formidable fighting force.

The following is my proposal for retraining of the Dheno:

-Switching to four shifts for Dheno, with each Dheno office on patrol for two shifts and completing mandatory training for one shift, with the other shift off. Thus the Dheno’s will continue to serve the same amount of time as they do in our current two shift rotation, but will have less free time (which often spawns laziness) and will also make room for continued training.

-All Dheno officers must complete the following tests on a monthly basis: A Galae Retor style obstacle course (and must finish it in a quicker time than required by the Retor and must continue to improve on their times); A HIC Survival Program of increasing difficulty; A Battery of Psych tests (we can na afford weaklings with in the Dheno); And numerous series of Dheno drills.

-All Dhenos will also practice with their ie’yekk’s once a day for 1 hour.

Part 2- Discipline

“Only through discipline, can order be brought to chaos, and only through the brining of order can a fighting force become truly unstoppable, the orderly fighting force, combined with the best training and the best equipment will make even the most ruthless quake in fear.” -Daise’Khre’Riov tr’Santi, Conquer the Galaxy

Previously, I have tried to maintain order with in the Dheno by using the code set forth by the Galae, however I feel that it is to easy upon those who have wronged it, and further not well defined. I propose a new disciplinary code for the entire Dheno.

MAJOR OFFENSE

-Insubordination can na be tolerated, and will be treated swiftly and quickly. The punishment for insubordination shall be as follows: 1St offense: Demotion, 6 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 300 hours service in the galley or janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; one month with br’teth as quarters, 10 lashings. 2nd offense: Court Martial

-Failure to Perform Duty is perhaps even more troubling than insubordination, because with insubordination the Dheno at least is motivated to act against orders, where Failure to Perform Duty shows a complete disregard. This can na be tolerated either. The punishment for Failure to Perform Duty shall be as follows: 1St offense: Demotion, 6 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 300 hours service in the galley or janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; one month with br’teth as quarters. 10 lashings 2nd Offense: Court Martial

-Miscellaneous offenses that are currently covered in the current Galae code that warrant major problems will also be treated with similar punishments.

MINOR OFFENSE

-Slacking, unlike Failure to Perform Duty, should not be considered among the most major offenses, but should still be dealt with swift and effectively. Slacking while on duty can cost lives, and will na be tolerated, if an individual is caught slacking, punishment shall be as follows: 1St offense: 1 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 40 hours service in the galley or janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; hearing with Daise Dheno, 5 lashings. 2nd Offense: 3 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 120 hours service in the galley or janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; hearing with Daise Dheno; and 1 week in the brig; 10 lashings. 3rd Offense: Demotion, 6 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 300 hours service in the galley or janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; one month with br’teth as quarters; hearing with the Daise Dheno and Daise’Ehri’Riov; 15 lashings.

-Cleanliness of Uniform and Quarters is equally important. Routine inspections of uniform and Quarters will be observed, any one found in violation will be punished by the following: 1St offense: 1 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 40 hours of janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; hearing with Daise Dheno. 2nd Offense: 3 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 120 hours of janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; hearing with Daise Dheno; and 1 week in the brig; 5 lashings. 3rd Offense: Demotion, 6 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; 300 hours of janitorial services during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; one month with br’teth as quarters; hearing with the Daise Dheno and Daise’Ehri’Riov; 10 lashings.

-Lateness for duty shift, if allowed to lapse into chronic ness can lead to much greater discipline problems that can wreck havoc on the well ordered Dheno. Therefore it can not be tolerated or allowed to continue. Only in emergency’s or situations out of the Dheno’s control can it be tolerated and only then when it is truly a sufficient reason (TL failure can na be accepted, we do have crawlways on this ship!) Punishment for lateness shall be as follows: 1St offense: 1 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; hearing with Daise Dheno. 2nd Offense: 3 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; hearing with Daise Dheno; 5 lashings; and 1 day in the brig. 3rd Offense: Demotion, 6 month revocation of all off duty privileges and restriction to quarters during off hours; official reprimand in Galae file; one week with br’teth as quarters; hearing with the Daise Dheno and Daise’Erei’Riov; 10 lashings.

-Miscellaneous offenses that are currently covered in the current Galae code that warrant minor problems will also be treated with similar punishments.

Additional Notes:

In addition to the above, a complete shake-up of the administrative system will also be done. New brigade, shift, and division commanders will take place as soon as a full review of current Dheno personnel is complete.
