"All Done"

"All Done"

A joint Personal Log by Lt_Cdr Precip and Admrial Atragon

USS Manticore

The Security Chief saw Ensign Law exit the security office in much the same way Ensign Crystal did. Free to go. He then saw the Admiral exit the "confession room".

"If I may ask Admiral what action did you take with regards to Mr. Law?"

"I flagged his docket, and he not to be near a shuttle for six months." The Admiral responded.

"Is this matter with these officers fully resolved at this time sir?" The Bolian querried.

"From my end yes" Atragon replied. "They disobeyed orders and comandeered Federation property - if you want to get technical. But Precip, you know that on Manticore things are not what they seem. If we take a longer view of this event, they were being self-directed with an action they saw as benefiting the mission, protecting the Commanding Officer and utilizing available resources with the minimum of waste - in other words, their death would impact the Federation less than mine. As I thought of all this, I could not, in good conscience, court martial him. However, I read him the riot act and one more toe over the line and his life is mine to do with as I please. I'm convinced he knows this to be true now."

"As you wish sir. Admiral I must myself take responsiblity for their actions, they serve under my command. The buck stops here as humans say. I must admit I did not see this coming from these two Ensigns. Their records indicated no prior instances of circumnavigating Starfleet Regulations. I stand ready for any action on your part."

"Action against you???" the Admiral seemed to pause for moment. "To be honest, I had not given your part in this much thought at all, Lt. Commander. They are your responsibility to command, so I will leave you to your own self-judgement, as I know it will be harsher than anything I could dish out. All I ask is that you do not doubt your judgements or future decisions. I need you in place, in charge and sure of yourself."

"I understand sir. Regarding the Pegasus I shall upgrade security measures imediately regarding access to her. After all it is your personal craft."

"That she is. And I shall leave you to those modification immediately. I must get back to the bridge.."

With that the Admiral left Precip, who could only assume the Pegasus Incident and the Mission itself was all done, closed. He could do nothing more with the two Ensigns except to keep an extra eye on them....If he had one.

End log.
