Boost, that's one of the great thing about STSF ... you don't need do to anything other than have registered an email at startrek.com and come to the acadamies!  No enrollment paperwork, no test -- just come, play and have fun.  GMs monitor your progess and readiness for graduation by your sim attendance.  The more you play the more the GMs get to know you and your playing ability.

As far as a bio ... some cadets create one while in the Academy, others choose to wait until they have graduated and been posted to an Advanced Sim/Ship.  Purely your choice, though I will say that I waited to create my own bio until I was posted to my first ship, but again it's the choice of each person.  The caveat to that is .... if you're going choose a species or ability that might be questionable, you should talk to the CO/XO of the Advanced Sim you hope to play on first.

Feel free to talk to the GMs hosting the academy you choose to attend, or any of the GMs for that matter, with other questions.  We all here to help make the game fun!

Dac

I personally would advise waiting until you know what is available before you compose a bio.  You don't want to limit your options.

True, however, just because you sim as one character in the Academy does not meat you cannot choose another for an Advanced sim.  (We even have some people that sim multiple characters on different advanced sims!)

Yeah, like me for example.  I play 2 characters that are completely different.  On one sim I play Ens_Vanroy, a Vulcan.  On another I play Ensign_Vanroy, a Vulcan.  But one sim has Ensign spelled out and the other one is an abbreviation.

See what I mean?  Completely different!

Dumbass, what good did that do he means like Captain FredM, who plays the Reaent as Captain Fred Michaels and SHAegis as Captain Frederick Meve (I think)!

Sorry...  the keys are encoded with a encoded signal in each.  No duplication allowed.  :;):  Ya try to use it a 2nd time, you blow up and everyone else lives.  lol

And the wash room uses a "special" key.  No one but the GMs have those!  Sorry....  maybe if you're good though one of the GMs will sneak ya in.   hehe
