Right now, I only use my computer, and not that much, only because it's not really fast enough to play any good games. The only thing I really play online is Starcraft (rocks!).

However, in a couple of days, I'll be getting Xbox Live, which will have my playing pretty much all the time :P

So, what do you do?

Hey there,

Well, last video game system I ever had was a Sega Genesis...since then stuck with a PC for all my gaming needs. :P

At present, using my wonderful dial-up connection or once in awhile my high speed connection at work (being the local IT guy does have it's advantages), I'll play...

  • Star Trek: Elite Force
  • Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault - Breakthrough (Expansion Pack 3)
  • Call of Duty

Also, play quite a few card games online occassionally.

I loved Elite Force. So much, in fact, that I bought Elite Force II.

My computer is my game system. It's pretty good . . . DSL and 512 MB ram. I love Star Trek games. Other than Elite Force(s), I've got Armada and Armada II, Starship Creator, Borg, and Starfleet Command (the original). Now if only I could get Bridge Commander and Starfleet Command III.

I don't play many online games, save for these sims, but occasionally. I mostly buy the games for the SP storyline, and/or the customizable SP missions. I've beat EF1 and EF2 many times, but I can always just fool around and not follow the plot. Especially with cheat codes. :P

I enjoy poking around in Everquest as I have time, and I also enjoy playing Risk II still quite a bit. Lately the amount of free time I have had has been rather lacking... but when I find it, that's some stuff I like.

Simming is my main online gaming. Though back when I could FIND my CD, I played Diablo 2 online religiously. And I am really into the Pogo Casino games right now. Phlinx is one of my faves! Mwah.

For just regular computer gaming.. I am usually playing an old school Magic the Gathering Duel game.

I avoid it all like the plague. NOT because it's not good! But because simming sucks up the maximum amount of time I can guiltlessly spare sitting on my duff at my desk accomplishing nothing. :D (That and I found that more activity time at the computer started to affect my wrists in spite of my ergonomic everything, and that starts to interfere with my career, which is not an option!)

Game away and know that I am enjoying it vicariously though you! :D

I've done a little online gaming in my day...

Has anyone ever played ARC (Attack, Retrieve, Capture) on the old Won.net? I was very active for quite a few years. In recent years I've gotten involved in Age of Empires II, Age of Mythology, Half Life (Mods: Wanted! Counterstrike, Natural Selection, Day of Defeat, and a couple more) and a little Starcraft/ I've also done a lot of card games on MSN.

Despite having played quite a few games online, I actually favor console games more than anything. I've always considered PC games...more geeky, ya know? :P I worked as a video game salesman for three years, so I got to interact (heh heh) with quite a few games. :D

I have played both PC Online Games and PS2 online games (untill recently when my PS2 decided to die on me {its now on its way to Sony to get fixed for FREE!} )

Hmm lets see:

"Real Games"

-EASports NCAA Football 2003 (PS2)

-EASports NCAA Football 2004 (PS2) [i Rock at this game BTW :P ...it was fun beating the Real Football players from WVU at this one afternoon while I was a Manager for them]

-ESPN NHL Hockey 2004 (PS2)

-EASports NCAA Basketball 2004 (PS2...are you seeing a trend here?)

-Birth of the Federation (PC...Great Game btw)

-Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri [Original and Aliex Expansion pack] (PC and another good game)

-Sid Meier's Civilization III [Gold Edition] (PC GREAT GAME!)

Others

-I play Yahoo! Chess a lot

-and how could I forget "Netropolis" ::drools:: that game was awsome!

::Waves hand:: Yes, perfect for us geeks--quite a misnomer, though, because last time I checked, I don't eat heads off chickens.

I quite enjoy being a computer nerd. I also quite enjoy the fact that eventually I'll be able to a job where I can get paid for sitting at a computer.

Yes, the Age of Empires and Age of Mythology games were cool. I've got the original Age of Empires, but none of the sequels, and both the original and expansion packs for Age of Mythology. I don't play them online . . . still need to finish that expansion pack.

My cousin exposed me to Starcraft last year. It was okay, and reminded me a lot of Alpha Centauri. I'm going down to Waterloo again this year, so maybe I'll play it some more. If it weren't for the fact that simming takes up most of my time . . .

I've been a computer gamer for years. I love adventure type games, and the latest online games in which you figure out and perform quests in whatever venue the manufacturer has set, are very enjoyable to me.

Sure, they take some time, but I love the graphical environment. Now, if we can figure out a way to incorporate STSF with a Star Wars Galaxy type interface, I would be in Seventh Heaven! If they could figure out a way to do the interface, and still maintain GM driven plots, combining the best of both worlds, that is.

I just got an X-Box for my birthday, and I haven't tried any of the on-line games yet, for it, but I do like cooperative games, where a team of players go after some goal, while they develop their characters.
