"A stroll"

Tovan went off duty and walked out of TL and stepped in to the shuttle bay, to his left was the Wyvern stood and Griffin, back from chasing two kids out on a potenially suicide mission, even when it was unauthorized. Tovan thought. He'd give the pilots a lesson on operating the Pegasus, granted the ablative shielding protected them and seemingly ignored by the cave powers but it was reckless and dangerous. He walked towards the shuttles and began his diagnostics.

For these two fighters they were fine, only in need of refueling, probably because they were in the hands of two experienced officers but what about Ensign Law and Crystal? What would have happened if the cave had fired its defenses? He look around for his tool kit and founded it sitting on a console where he left it. He walked towards it and grabbed the kit and headded for a TL.

Perhaps he was being too harsh on the two ensigns, their little stunt did prevent the Admiral from risking his own life. But did he? It seems that the Pegasus did survive the trip and two ensigns who pilot it still alive. Was it possible that whatever down there is gone? Tovan pondered as he walked into a TL, he ordered the lower saucer docking ports.

A few minutes later he arrived and entered the pegasus, security personnel let him through. He tapped on the ship's consoles and began a shipwide diagnostics and data download from its sensors. Whatever the ship recorded Tovan download, the secrets are in there. Tovan left the for the interior of the ship inspecting its structural intergerty. He finished the quick survey and checked the Warp core. Every thing was stable.

A beep confirmed the conclusion of the download, Tovan tooked the tricorder out of the interface. He checked the diagnostic logs and found nothing out of the ordinary. Tovan was puzzled. The first shuttle that was sent down was blown to pieces why didn't the pegasus suffer the same fate? Perhaps it was Sovak.

Tovan tapped on the console again, shutting off the engines and other systems and climbed out of the small yacht. He head for a TL walked in and ordered Main engineering. He required a quiet place to work in.

The lift's door opened and he walked to his console and logged in. He plugged his tricorder in and started looking through the data. Half an hour went by quickly, now an hour.

"Nothing" He said. "Absolutely Nothing." He looked again and found nothing. The sensors recorded no energy patterns of any sort, except the tractor beam that was trying to grab them. Besides that nothing. Tovan sat back in his chair.

Perhaps it wasn't just time yet, yes He needed more time for now .. there was nothing. He thought back to the backwash of energy that he set Manticore in. Exactly nothing was hitting the surface now.

Nothing ...
