Sleep, Part 1

PERSONAL LOG

Lt. Koshic L. N’Dak, Ph.D.

Helm | USS Arcadia

Stardate 0406.14

>Begin Log<

With his shift over, Koshic made his way off the bridge and down to his quarters, or what was left of them. He hadn’t been there a lot in the last few days, he’d been to busy. And the few chances he had actually gotten to rest a little, hadn’t been all that pleasant.

The little device the doctor had given him to control his telepathy seemed to be working, for now. That was at least a comforting thought.

As he stood amongst the rubble that was his quarters, he sighed deeply. The place was a mess, but he was to tired to do anything about it.

He walked over to a small cabinet in the corner and opened it. He took out a medium sized purple bag with gold lettering on it, he opened the small pouch reveling a bottle of Crown Royal. Human liquor had been one thing he had acquired a taste for while serving as a instructor at the academy.

He dusted the bottle off and skipped the glass all together. He let the smooth liquid flow down his throat straight from the bottle.

After a few drinks, he put the half empty bottle back in the pouch and closed it back up in the cabinet.

Somberly, and some what drunkly, he made his way to his bed where he passed out. It had been a long few days, and sleep was about the only thing he was welcoming. But, as it turned out...there would be nothing welcoming about this dream.
