Another Victim

Chief Diplomatic Liaisons Log

June 13th, 2154

He was on the ground...he didn't really know why. He had opened his eyes, and saw the celiing....It was the logical conclusion. He looked to the right, his pappers were all over the floor, a woman was screaming, and pointing at him. Why whould she do that....

He smelt something....burning...like...burning flesh...

Pulled his shoulders up slightly, his chest burned for some reason. He gazed at it, a small puff of smoke raising from the still burning flesh. He caught a glimsp at one of the Klingons, who was now holding a disrupter. Like a sick puzzle, everything came together. He had been shot....he was about to die....

An odd sort of silence found him. The screams died out, and time slowed down.

It didn't last long, another disruptor blast, another body falling, and the world came back to full speed. The burning set in, so hard to breathe. Travis had to drop his head back down, stare at the ceiling. He could feel the strength flowing out of him.

All those petty meetings with Ambassadors, and all that paper work was forgoten. As he relized something. He wasnt in some grand scheme, he was shot on random.

That was how he liked it, that the things he did really didnt matter in the grand scheme. But they ment the world to those he helped.

And then he smiled.

And then he died.
