Question about log postings

I was wondering about once you join a ship, are you supposed to post a log in the ships log area weekly? It seems logical, but I'm unsure if it is required.

 

I also noticed the USS Arcadia hasn't posted any logs, this is confusing because I want to learn about the ship, but I am unable to read anything.

mm..most people write logs as often as they like.  Some ships require a certain number of logs for promotion along with attendance.  But mostly they're for your own enjoyment and advancment of your character :)

 

As far as the arcadia goes..they're rather prolific writers actually, as to why they haven't posted, I wouldn't know.  Maybe still shy after a recent fiasco losing their old message boards.  You should contact its captain and Xo for information on the ship  :cool:

You can write logs as much as you would like. As for posting, usually when most write a log they do post it to the boards also. As for it being a requirement, as far as I am aware it's not a weekly requirement. But logs are factored in as contribution to the sim, just as attendance and participation during the sim, is counted.   To get specifics on logging and what is expected from your sim and required, feel free to ask the GM's of your sim! : )   ~ STSF Lightning ~

Why not stop by tonight and watch the Arcadia's sim?  We seem to go through feast or famine when it comes to log writing, but I can tell you that we have some incredible writers.  It will give you a chance to talk to Moose or Pratt, and you can ask if someone on the crew could send you some old logs (guilty of not keeping them).  Like Manticore, our core group has been together for a long time, but we are eager to welcome new Ensigns.  Hope to see you tonight

Its in the Memory Prime archive too :) (Or one of those other archives..)

 

But Houding Pratt sounds like a good plan to me, try that first  :laugh:
