WARNING: This is NOT meant to degrade ANY ONE that is not an American...IT IS JUST a little bit of information

I'm not a historian or an expert on governments, but as an example, in the United States government, the order of sucession is as follows:

President

Vice President

Speaker of the House

President of the Senate Pro Tempore (Oldest tenured member of the majority party of the Senate)

Secretary of State

Secretary of the Treasury

Secretary of Defense

Attorney General

And down the list of the cabinet through:

Secretary of Veterans Affairs

Secretary of Homeland Security

So....

If STSF decided to use that as their example government then it would probably be as follows:

Atragon

Sovak

Fred

Huff

Blu

Webby...and then the rest of the GM's To Be Named Later ^_^

So there is one example...but I guess it's really up to the big guy...

Just a little bit of history, it was not always the Speaker of the House who was 2nd in line for succession. At one time it was the Secretary of State. In fact, when Reagan was shot in 1981 and Bush was unavailable, Al Haig forgot that the Constitution had been changed and anounced on national TV that he was next. He wasn't

And Senate Pro Tem is elected by the Senate in the same way that the Speaker of the House is elected by the House. It does not automatically go to the Senator with the longest tenure (although that did happen when the late Strom Thurmond held the post.)

::snickers:: Which is funny because it was changed in in the late 1940's following the death of FDR ^_^

As a general rule it does and has gone to the most senior member of the Majority Party. IE Strom when the Republicans had power/he was alive (he was also a Democrat at one point...but we won't talk about that  ) and Bob Byrd, D-WV  when the Democrats had power.

Well, you have to remember that when Haig was learning about the Constitution in grade school FDR was still alive.
