"Requests"

Senior Chief Petty Officer Martin Weedman

Challenger Design Team Leader

San Francisco, Earth

June 10, 2154

With due regrets, I have been promoted to Director of Starfleet Design. Senior Chief Petty Officer Givens has been reassigned to Director of Starfleet Communications, and I have moved up the command line. We are quickly approaching final design decisions for NX-05, and I would rather not be the one people come running to during problems. However, I have accepted the position in hopes of continuing my Starfleet career.

In the mean time, more paperwork has been placed in my direction.

THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUESTS MADE BY STARFLEET TO BE CONTAINED IN THE NX-05 DESIGN

Note: The following design changes are preliminary.

Attention: All design information for NX-05 will become official June 30, 2154. No changes may be made after that time unless ordered by a senior official within the Challenger project command chain.

The inner portion of the saucer section of NX-05 is almost intact. Up to date information about the construction status may be found here.

REQUEST I:

-Outer connection module for Scientific exploration, capable of being left for research for an extended period of time (up to 6 months).

REQUEST II:

-Emergency seperation explosive devices on docking rings, to seperate from unauthorized docking.

END REQUEST

Note from Weedman: All construction staff are to run diagnostics on their construction ships. Remember to check construction nodes.

All questions should be directed to construction team leaders. If future questions arise, direct them to the Design Team.
