PERSONAL INFORMATION

Martin Weedman was born July 25, 2126 in San Diego, California. He grew up wanting to follow in his mother's (Jade Stone) footsteps, and becoming part of the Starfleet Design team for future projects.

His mother had been an analyst for NX-01, and several unmanned missions in between. When discussions about NX-05 began to get heated at the conference table, Jade removed herself from the team, and retired from Starfleet.

Martin's father, Phillip, resigned his position as the Vice-Director of Fleet Operations in 2142, and moved to Florida. Martin enlisted in Starfleet the same year, and remained in California.

Martin's sister, Emily, went into the Starfleet Academy in the same year (2142), and graduated in 2146. She is currently serving under Fleet Captain David Williams, Director of Fleet Operations, as an assistant.

As Martin continued his work toward being a part of the NX- design team, he quickly realized his vision of future ships was impossible due to current Engineering possibilities. Martin had decided to begin taking Engineering classes, so he would be capable of creating ships that were both structurally sound and appealing to the eye. He had successfully done this, given his current position in Starfleet as an enlisted officer.

He studied non-stop, and hurried his education to learn as much as possible in as little time as possible. His social life is small, but he does have several close friends. Martin has good character, however he does attempt to do everything himself. Unfortunately, Martin does not present anyone, not even his closest friends, with full trust for information or trust the job was done correctly without being checked for quality himself.

In the end, most design changes and additions to current designs are addressed to Martin, and he (along with a specific, chosen team of both designers and engineers) makes the final call about design specifications.

Martin Weedman is currently leading the Engineering Design team for the NX-05 Challenger project.
