Jonathan was born in San Diego, California, and he lived there much of his life. Throughout his school years, he always thought that hi favorite subject was history. He chose not to become a hustorian. Instead he studied Engineering and Computer Science.

 

He met his boss, Admiral Smith, while he was preparing the systems on the Enterprise, then an Ensign. Smith became fond of his work, and asked him to become the head technician for the Science Division. And thus, the Science Divison of Starfleet recieved it's second employee (It is currently staffed by the two of them and their secretary).

 

Currently, he is working on the installations for the Challenger.
