Hey there,

Simple question...complex answer. How long have you been simming? :D

Note, this doesn't mean only in STSF...as many have previous experience in other groups/forums/ships/etc.

Grief, Fred.  It looks like you've been simming all night!  ::snarkle::

Seriously?  Since I was born, it feels like.  But I'm what you might call a newbie; I didn't start until the end of 1994.  Yeah, they robbed the cradle.

Hmmmm, if you're a newbie by starting in '94 what does that make me -- starting in '99??

Dac, I think it makes you an Infant, which would make me an Embryo, because I have only been simming for a week and a half.

Once upon a time, I happened into a chatroom during the days that we payed by the hour...  Many hundreds of dollars later I found myself on three imaginary starships and planning vacations with strangers...

Wow!  Except for the starship and simming stuff you just described my pathetic excuse for a love life!

Dac

Don't be ashamed of the class of '99 :)

All those old ones want to make you feel bad...just remind them that their characters will die first (from old age of course...not academy mishap) :D

... About 4 months, which probably means something along the lines of lots of cells dividing.  I just found STSF at random from the startrek.com website and decided to come into an academy.  How's that for getting hooked instantly?

And that's the way it's supposed to work!!  People have commented that the STSF simming room (hmm, now rooms) is the weakest part of our Forum.  My response is that it's our strongest!  Sure, the room could work better, mechanically, but it's a chat room *ON* STARTREK.COM!!  This way, we are a presence right on the official website for all of Star Trek and people looking for a simming group will find us and join in the fun.

::gets off soap box::

Okay, I'm done, thanks  ::D:

Same thing here Loami. I just saw it while browsing startrek.com one time, decided to find out what STSF was all about. It's been just about 3 1/2 months for me.

I've been here for 5 months now. I even have the date ... 50209.20. I believe I walked into the holodeck, and some GM was there and we started up a sim. Since then, I've been hooked.

Actually, I have been simming a least amount of time than majority of the people here. Yet, I can't remember the first time I walked into the Holodeck for a STSF sim. Actually, my memory is pretty bad. It says on my Bio that I graduated unter Kbear and Blurox..... I can't remember if I did or not.   :D  For some reason, I am thinking that I graduated on a Tuesday, instead of a Wednesday (or something like that).

lol - If memory serves me right, I don't know anything!   :)

Hey there,

Well, there is a board showing all Academy graduation announcements and assignment dates. If you forget, go look. :)

Oh, Lord.  You had to make me count...  8 years and change now; I started the last week of September, '94.  And I remember those $100 bills... ::shudder::  Should I celebrate or mourn when I reach the decade mark?  ::tries to calculate how many hours of her life she's sunk into "imaginary ships"::
