changing your screen name

Hi! :D I was wondering, in all the stuff I read before I decide to go in a sim it said to put Cdt in fornt of your name because it makes it easier for the GM's. I was wondering if you can change your SN becuase wouldn't you have to anyways when/if you became an ensign :) ? thanks for any help :)

The cdt part is not manditory just optional and not all use it when they are cadets. Even on advanced sims several just use their characters names and skip the rank on the SN just so they don't have to keep making new SN accounts.

Echoing R'tor here, you do not have to add the Cadet prefix to your name. It is optional, but it does let the GMs know you are a cadet and treat you accordingly. But again, most people don't put their ranks in their name, but of coruse it's entirely up to you.

Some players use their ranks (Cdt_, Ens_, etc.) in their chat names, but not on their board names. As of now, you can pretty much change your chat name each time you log onto the chat; your board name, although changable by the webby, is somewhat more permanent.
