Look both ways before crossing streets, stay away from drugs, and always check your fast food order before you leave the drive-thru window.

Oh, you meant about simming! Well, Moose's tips are pretty good.

Schizophrenia (or however it's spelled) and paranoia are actually separate mental conditions, although they often occur in the same individual at the same time.

A schitso-whatever sees things or events that are not there. They exist only in that person's mind. These false events often involve the person being persecuted or victimized in some way and often paranoia results because of the schitzophrenia. It is usually the paranoid behavior that makes people think "Hey, this person ain't right" which is when treatment usually starts.

If I have it in my head that I ran into a long-lost friend this morning when I really didn't, that would be schitzophrenia. However, it would be of such a benign nature that it doesn't lead to any signs that something is wrong (unless, say, I introduce him to people and they can't see him.) Now, if I imagine this ficticious person is stalking me that is the paranoia, and that is what would probably draw people's attention to me.

That's the problem, and why it is difficult to treat paranoia as such. If someone really is stalking me then paranoia is a perfectly normal responce. {Stalking you? Who would stalk you??} It's when you see paranoia for no documentable reason that you should be worried about someone
