Travis Kroells

The political Regime

The door buzzed, and Forest, fresh with a the head ache of the Vulcans and Andorains, grunted for the next head ache to enter.

Travis briskfully walked in, noticing the stack of paper work at Forest's part time office here at the space dock. Once the Admrial relised that the person who had entered was friendly, he stood to shake hands with the man he had been expecting.

"Ah, Mr. Kroells I presume? How was your trip from Denobula?"

"Quite nice under the circumstances. I had always wanted to tour one of this space docks, but, once again, under better circumstances. But still, it is a pleasure to meet you Admiral."

The Admiral openly smiled, at least this civillian showed some respect. They quickly sat down, after Forest showed Kroells the newest padd of information.

"Both the Vulcans and the Andorians want the Executvie officer spot, a spot I dont intend to give them."

Travis nodded, listening, and going over the data at the same time.

"I fear this is going to become a massive political battle between the Vulcans and the Andorians, and we, and the NX-05 are going to be caught in the middle. Do you have any suggestions Mr. Kroells?"

Travis sighed.

"We need to comprimise. I understand that the 1st officer spot is unacceptable, but we'll need to give the two a little leeway. Is there any postitions that are open, that I can present to them as a comprimise?"

"We're more then four months from launch! We're just putting the first rosters together! We're in no postition to start giving away spots on the bridge!"

"I relise that...but we need to keep the option open. That's why I'm going to attempt to convice both of them that there are other spots their Liasons can hold."

Forest sighed, he didn't like this plan, but then again, comprimises never seemed to be likeable.

"Alright, I'm going to have to go over this with the brass back on Earth, but at least give them the option. I have the upmost confidence in you Mr. Kroells. Thats why your here...No get going."

Travis nodded, and quickly left, heading towards the Andorians quarters. They'd be the ones that would be the most difficult to convince. At least the Vulcans were a little understanding...
