Personally, I like to add liquids. Nescafe makes this Coffee Syrup called Ice Java (dont know if you've heard of it) you just mix it with cold milk, and poof!

It's good stuff. I've tryed it blended with Ice to, its good, but I'm too lazy to do it again.

Of course, If I do get out to a starbucks, give me a Carmel Frapicino with extra whipped cream please.

...Pretty please?

Instant if I'm in a hurry, but it's usually potted. :)

Interesting...a lot of the choices I would have expected were not listed.

Such as using ground or fresh beans.

I never even knew they had coffee that came premade. Seems like it wouldn't taste very good.

Starbucks has good cappuccinos for the fact that it takes some extra effort (and an additional machine) to make them at home. But their coffee "specialties" are very sugary and candy-like, and their black coffee is bland-tasting.

Go to your local special foods market and buy some good, fresh coffee beans. It's not a good idea for the daily coffee drinker, as the good stuff is expensive, but for the occassional coffee person, there's no reason to drink junk! I personally prefer Kona coffee beans. Quite flavorful without the need for heavy creams or sugar flavors.

Speaking of soda, however...I hate soda. I was addicted to soda when I was younger - bad stuff. The best description of soda I've ever heard is "liquid candy"...and its quite true.

Yeah, I only really get a chance to use a pot at hotels. My parrents dont really drink coffee, and my dad thinks I'm too young, so he wont even let me buy one.

Besides, I dont really like strait up coffee that much, I'm more of a Capicino, Frapicino kind of guy.

But, when I have the chance, I do indulge on the potted stuff, just pass the creamer please.

:)

They say when you hit college you'll start drinking coffee.

But if you're up late at night studying for a test, gulping down coffee to stay awake...you need to stop drinking at frat parties and start really studying. A foreign concept for most I know :)

Well, After grounding up the beans, where do they go? The coffee maker.

I don't drink coffee, ever. I find it brackish and bitter, but that's just my opinion. Instead, I get my daily caffeine from large amounts of regular tea (I prefer Tetley over Red Rose) and a lot of Coca-cola.

I don't think I'll drink coffee even once I hit college. My preferred stimulant is tea, mostly because it tastes better than coffee. But then again, I'm one of those people who drown their tea in 2% milk.

For me it was Basic Training. All those early morning road marches. We were tired and cold and although Army coffee tastes like crap* it was the only thing we had.

Actually, College is when most people discover Mountain Dew. More caffeine than a serving of coffee or espresso.

Actually, there is more caffeine in a cup of coffee than a shot of espresso. It has to do with the grind of the beans and how much water is used. It *feels* like there is more caffeine in espresso because it hits you all at once.

Actually, Earl Grey Tea has more caffeine in it than coffee, espresso, and Mountain Dew. (No wonder Picard never relaxed.)

My choice wasn't listed. We have gourmet coffee at work so I drink that. When I'm at home I have a Starbucks across the street.

*For the record I don't really know what crap tastes like, but I imagine it tastes a lot like Army coffee.

While on the subject of Picard's Earl Grey Tea:

Every time Picard goes to order some Earl Grey Tea, he has to always tell the replicator that he wants it hot. Why? No one else has ever had to do that. Did Geordi concoct some sort of nasty prank where he programmed the default Earl Grey Tea to be cold? Or is Picard just a control freak?

Probably for the same reason he always had to say "ENGAGE" before the helmsman would hit the warp button.

Kirk always just had to say "go here, warp X", and they'd be off. Maybe computers and helmsmen need more direction in the future :)

That's a great explanation.

I can just see it now:

"Ladies and gentlemen, and aliens of other genders," says the Federation President. "The future of Starfleet is clear. We will be . . . a bureaucracy!"

For me, I usually just buy my coffee from Tim Horton's.. they have the best coffee in Canada, and they're really a Canadian Icon. But I also make coffee with my coffee maker, and that's of course what I voted for. I like my coffee with cream and sugar.. black coffee I find is too bitter for my taste. And yeah.. Vex is right. I didn't start drinking coffee until I was in college. Like Tachyon, I never thought I would drink the stuff, but you'd be surprised how well it works when you've got this huge test or project due the next day. :)

Hey there,

As crazy as it sounds, after numerous attempts, I just can't get a taste for coffee. I have tried, really....seriously....many times! Just can't do it....

Now, does this mean I am not addicited to caffine? Of course not...I get it other ways. :)

Oh, nice zinger at the end!

Okay, smartxxx, I started drinking coffee in college, but it was after four years of frying my brains to get through eighteen plus credits a semester. (Okay, I signed my advisor's name, and stuck to my lie even after he said, "I didn't approve this." "Yes you did." "No, I would have never approved this." "Yes, you did." lol)

But even then I had standards! We had fresh ground gormet coffee (at a time when gormet hadn't hit the East coast yet) and fresh cream from the college's ag department, hehe. It was my study partner's fault. (In my major you either had a study group or you failed out). His mother bought him the coffee and a grinder, so he'd either make it at his apartment, or bring it in a thermos to mine. We'd stay up drinking coffee and working until midnight Star Trek came on.

So you see, two great loves were born at the same time: Good fresh coffee and TOS Star Trek!

Microwaveable coffee? That exists now? My brain has reached overload...

At home, I use good old Mr. Coffee with ground coffee, none of that whole bean nonsense. On the go, it's Dunkin Donuts. Either way, it's French Vanilla. :)

Yeah! What the Klingon said!

Besides...you drink coffee the next morning AFTER the Frat party :) Not that I would know ANYTHING about that ::bats eyes innocently::

OK, I just got a visual of Vex pulling out his textbook at a frat party and trying to keep everyone quiet so he can study. :)

So let's see if I understand this. You just admitted to committing forgeries, and then lying to cover it up, but when it comes to coffee you have standards?

Hey Garnoopy, better get that species detector thing you doctor's have. BcH is a Ferengi!

I've been drinking coffee since i was two, and now it must be black and strong, or I will not drink it, and if it is instant, I throw it at the wall and ask who tried to pass colored water off as coffee.

The End.

Remind me never to invite JesusTrekkie over for tea :)

Oh yes...you just can't beat sucking from a bottle of hot coffee after a long day of napping, putting GIJoe figures in your mouth, and trying to say "dada".

Alright, so at that time it was 3/4 milk, but it was in a sippy cup, not a bottle, and I spoke more than "dada" (TWO YEARS MAN), and being a girl i never had GIJoes. I had Batman figures and Star Trek figures (But those came later). But thank you for making fun of me, it shows that you care. :)

And I never throw instant tea at the wall. :)
