Shrek 2

As you can probably see from my avatar, I recently went to see Shrek 2. This movie is soooo funny! It has humor for parents and children alike...and women will absolutely love the little kitty cat character.

I think Shrek 2 is even better than the original. The ending was awesome (plus I LOVE that song). It really had some adult themes, too...such as Fiona and Shrek fighting and meeting the parents, etc.

I think parents will really get into the story. There's quite a few jokes in there that children won't get, but they'll think its funny anyway.

My favorite scene was when they were in the local pub drinking their sorrows away and the kitty was taking shots of milk "leave the bottle" hehehe...

Shrek II, eh? Not really my cup of tea, but I'll definately see it if if one of my friends wants to double date, or with a girlfiriend. Otherwise... I don't know... ;) ::keeps his mind open, filing it under 'date movie'::

I have to agree. : )

I took my seven year old to see the movie, and I can't wait until he sees it again in 10 years and figures out what he missed this time.

He thought the big kitty eyes (Vex's avitar) was the funniest thing he'd ever seen. Personally, I enjoyed Pinnocchio doing Tom Cruise and Michael Jackson.

While I personally enjoyed the movie, I thought they took the "adult" humor too far. I found myself shaking my head several times and questioning whether it really was a good idea to expose my six year old sister to such things.

that was my problem with the first Shrek...not even the adult humor but cursing where there was no need...

"parfait is the best thing on the whole damn planet" Why? It IS a "kids"movie supposedly..there were a couple of instances like that..but that is the only one I can remember right now

You guys know it doesn't have a "G" rating I believe, isn't it "PG". I haven't seen it yet but I plan to! Might bring along my neice too.

Of course ratings don't mean much. In 1980 The Blue Lagoon won all kinds of awards and had an R rating. Today the movie couldn't be made at all, even as an XXX, because there were nude scenes with actors under 18.

The cookie puts me over the top.

I HAVE to see it again just to count the LOTR scene references! I saw Hobbiton, Bree, Cahadras, Moria gates... lol, I'm SURE there's more!

And I can selfishly appreciate that animated movies don't have to be for little kids. ;)
