NEW ENTERPRISE PREVIEW

As Im sure most of you have seen...the new Enterprise preview looks incredible. THey really did a super job on producing this thing...you could have never seen an episode and want to watch....hey wait...maybe thats the point

Seriously..I was glad to see a promo on another network(SPIKE). This should hopefully add to the overall appeal (as well as fan base) of Enterprise...

Plus...a different font...claims that some wont return..perhaps they will change more than the intro next season..if there IS a next season.

Actually.. yeah Fred. He's not joking. They just showed the Enterprise preview again on Spike just now. Wow.. I must say it looks good. Can't wait to see it ::glad his station is not UPN, so he'll get to see it at its regular alloted time::

Often times advertising is controlled by the cable/satelite provider, not the station. This is especially true for the "smaller" networks. I once seen an ad on UPN for Survivor which is a CBS show.

Hey there,

But don't forget that CBS and UPN are owned by the same company. So I would expect to see cross-advertising for shows there. I kind of wish we could see some Star Trek: Enterprise advertising on CBS...though SpikeTV is a good second or third given they're heavy lineup of Trek shows.

True..but these are network breaks, I believe (work at a tv station so kinda have a clue about structure). Plus they are in Spikes afternoon TREK block..so its just good placement. Either way..it looks REALLY good.....WOOOHOOO

Check me on this, but I thinks SPIKE is owned by Viacom as well.

Are you all talking about the preview for the upcoming episode? I didn't see what was so amazing about it. Am I missing something?

Yeah, you're right about that.. I'm getting advertisements for CBC and Toronto radio stations on American stations like TLC, TBS and Spike. But as Dak said Spike is owned by Viacom, and they know alot of Trekkies go there to watch TNG and DS9, so it only seems smart for the ad execs to air Enterprise preview ads there.

And so it is...the air time still has value. And they are using that time to promote Enterprise. Which means they are spending airtime (money) on promoting the show. And THATS a good thing...

I still have no idea what you're talking about but I'm guessing its the episode preview that you can watch at StarTrek.com.
