You attend the Academy Simulations untill the GM (Gamemasters) decide that you are ready to join an Adv. Simulation. At which time they will Graduate you. Then you apply, via an Email from personell, for a position on one of the many fine Adv. Simulations currently running on STSF. Hope that helped. :angry: :)

Your first step is to show up at an academy simulation. The schedule is here. Remember, if you don't live in Eastern or Pacific time zones, adjust the time accordingly. Sims are now being held in the stsf.net chat rooms (hit the "live chat" button on the bar just above the message board). Before you show up, in order to get a basic idea of what you're doing:

 

- Read the getting started section. Really. First-time players will gain major brownie points with others (maybe even the GM's) if they are familiar with the basics.

- For very good tips about simming style, read Tips from the Moose.

- Watch what other people are doing. You can do that while you're simming in the academy, or you can come to the chat during an advanced simulation and watch how they operate.

- Follow the GM's instructions (send a private message).

- Ask questions of other players or GM's (on these boards, or by private message during a sim).

- Have fun.
