The subject is a healthy young adult female of Bajoran descent with no remarkable scars or markings with the exception of a five tiered ridge across the bridge of her nose. Internal medical scans reveal the presence of an aortic implant and artificial valves in the left ventrical. Records indicate these are the result of a blast injury sustained in childhood. Said prosthesis poses no threat to the patient and incurrs no restrictions on physical ability.

Having completed ten sessions with Ensign Veloras, I have come to understand her to be a complex but personable young woman with a clear sense of self. Earlier diagnosis of post traumatic stress disorder have been addressed and dealt with and, it is my belief that she will serve adequately despite these drawbacks.

Personal Data File:

Itana was born in a relocation camp in Rakantha Province 13 years prior to the end of the Cardassian Occupation. She was one of three children born to Veloras Ranik, a known resistance fighter and later a suspected collaborator who was murdered in a Bajoran prison on Jerrado while awaiting trial. Her mother, Veloras Ebret and her two siblings including her twin sister Itara and her brother Aomar, were killed during a skirmish with Cardassian foot soldiers outside the capital city of Rakantha Province shortly before the end of the war. Itana survived along with her father who had suddenly decided to visit relatives and had taken her to the Kendra Valley the day before. Itana left Bajor shortly after her father's death and little is known of her activities between the time she left Bajor and the time she passed the entrance exam into Star Fleet Academy.
