The Man In The Morgue

 

I’m in shock; it’s as clear-cut as that. When we opened that file from Starfleet, reality as I knew it entered a new zone of weirdness. If the bones in our freezer belong to the person they’re supposed to, then there is no telling how vast the repercussions of it will be. The Admiral’s already restless and acting slightly nuts. When he hears what me and Sheepy know, its likely things will get worse, though I’m sure he’ll be telling us how his actions in re-organising the upper staff are now clearly justified. We’ll be going up to brief him shortly so I guess I’d better start putting our facts in a nice presentable form.

 

Personally, I don’t know what to think about all of this. Hell this discovery could be a sign that we’re doomed or that the future’s bright or it could mean absolutely nothing at all. This is probably the first time since the last ice age that Medical’s known more about what’s going on then anyone else but the information we have will be incredibly difficult to actually act on and that sours the taste of victory a bit. The man in the morgue may be dead but he’s still been able to give me quite a scare.
