Off into the wild blue yonder

Tar'Mok, after receiving his implant, and beaming his purchases/gifts to his quarters reported for duty again at his post at the Science console. He felt refreshed after his short, but fruitful shopping excursion at Deep Space 9, but also was ready to get back to his duties. The Excalibur is now on its way to the Gamma Quadrant to observe a faction of rouge Changelings. Tar'Mok prepared the equipment, and sat at his console.

If he were capable of feeling emotions, Tar'Mok would be feeling a great sense of anxiousness for the Excalibur's arrival at the planet, for the mission would hopefully keep him and his fellow Scientists busy. Sadly, in these past few missions.. on the Excalibur -- save for the simulated wargames -- Tar'Mok didn't really have much to do. However, these Changelings were for the most pasrt unknown and thus, there is a quite large scientific potential here. Classifying the species, and the planet, learning about their life, and behavioural patterns, etc.

Hopefully, this next mission will keep him and his fellow crew busy. Tar'Mok sits in his chair, looking at some readouts of the sector. The Excal is now out of the wormhole and en route to the planet. They would be arriving soon, under cloak as not to be detected. As usual, Tar'Mok hoped for an uneventful mission, but as usual, Tar'Mok had a bit of a feeling that might not hold true.

He wondered what the planet and its inhabitants were like, as Tar'Mok had never seen a changeling before. He heard of Odo, the Chief of Security of Deep Space 9, but they never met. For now, Tar'Mok stared emotionlessly at his console, crunching in numbers. The bridge was full of life, as people milled about busily. All seemed anxious of their new mission and what it was to hold. And in a way.. so did Tar'Mok.
