I wanted to know if when i get assigned to a ship and a rank, can i change waht my nickname is from trek_fan03 to something like Ensign Hertz

Trek_fan03-

When you graduate and get assigned to a ship, send the webmaster a PM about your request to change nicknames on the forum. I do not believe that you can change your own user name, though I could be wrong.

 

However, if your going to go with the name "Hertz" as your character, I'd suggest if you ask the webmaster if you can change names, you don't change to "Ensign Hurtz", you just change to "Hertz". That way, if and when you get to an Advanced sim and get promoted, you dont' have to keep trying to figure out how to change your user name.

To follow up on Garnoopy's comments, if you're just talking about your startrek.com name for the actual sim, then you can do that yourself, at any time, by registering with a new name over there.  If you're just speaking about your name for posting messages here, however, then Garnoopy had it right and just let the Webmaster know here to have your posts changed.  Thanks.
