A St. Patty's Day joke

A guy walks into a bar and orders 3 pints of Guinness. The bartender asks "Why are you ordering 3 instead of 1 at a time?" The man says "I'll explain later."

 

So the bartender gets the 3 pints and brings them to the customer, who takes a swig out of each of the glasses in rotation. "You see, sir, my two brothers are still in Ireland. We figure if we can't drink together in the same room we can at least drink together in spirit."

 

This goes on for a couple years, and every time the same thing. The one guy drinks with his 2 brothers in spirit.

 

One day the man only orders 2 pints of Guinness and does the normal routine of drinking out of each glass in turn. The bartender notices this and says "It is none of my business, and I know I don't know you very well, but I noticed you only ordered 2 pints this week and normally you order 3. Did one of your brothers die?"

 

The man says "No, they are still alive. It's just that I quit drinking." :)
