Brian Graham sat on the bridge of the Excalibur, monitoring the console that he had dedicated to security purposes.

 

With the news that the simulation was being put on hiatus due to the need for the two participating ships to render aid, Brian had changed the plan of the Security department.

 

All of the security teams that had been roving the ship, and those that had been placed in guard positions had been recalled until further notice. Since there was a high possability of encountering hostility, all of the equipment used by security was being reprogrammed to "Active" specifications.

 

Brian took this time, while the two ships were racing to render assistance, to speculate on who would attack a Federation colony. The Borg had attacked several colonies in the past, however their current interest in Eart itself seemed to dispel that. The Romulans don't usually perform such a blatant agressive act, except for the failed invasion of Vulcan, so an attack on a colony wasn't their style.

 

That left the Ferengi, Cardassians, Breen, Dominion, pirates, smugglers or any other violent lifeform that the galaxy seemed to spawn. Whatever the case, Brian hoped that they would be able to apprehend these criminals and help the colonists in any way possible.
