I'm not up to date on the Mac anymore...but there was a program called Swivel3D that was very simple and, most importantly, free.

There's a guy named Hawke, I dont know if he's on these boards but you can find him on the spacefleetonline.com boards. He knows anything and everything 3D I think :(

Not sure what's going on in the world of Macs, but, I just did a search on my free (as in freedom), open source, KPackage (running on my free/OSS GNU/Linux system, etc.) and saw a couple of programs that claimed to be "3D modeling" software. It wouldn't surprise me if at least one of them could compile on a Mac (especially on Mac OS X). I'd suggest trying to search (google is usually a good start) more generally for the software, and worry about the system specificity later.

I'm not really good at graphics, so I can't suggest anything specific. You might want to search for some 3D modeling tutorials and see what software they use. I doubt that learning any specific software package will help you learn the general concepts (that should be portable to any software).

Just my 2c...

Hey man If I were you I would just stick to what I know.

But it is always good to learn new things. So just forget what I said before just do what ever you want.
